Counter to My Intelligence by Lani Lynn Vale

With some hesitation in my heart I opened the pages to Counter to My Intelligence by Lani Lynn Vale and had to tap into my faith in this author’s ability to spin a story and leave me satisfied, and I was not let down….AT ALL. After all that has been seen about Silas from the Freebird series to The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC series to the Code 11-KPD SWAT series you would think that his mysterious allure would be dead, but the one thing I love about Lani Lynn Vale’s stories is how vast her imagination is. If you, like me, placed limitations on the merit of Silas’ story imparting anything new, give yourself a slap on the wrist in shame! When I saw the cover reveal and saw that Alfie Gordillo was on the cover as Silas, I knew right away how special this book was going […]

Execution Style by Lani Lynn Vale

Execution Style by Lani Lynn Vale

Can I say it, I think I can, matter of fact I know I can because this is my freaking review… Miller’s book, Execution Style by Lani Lynn Vale, was better than Downy’s, Double Tap. Downy, my love, please don’t hate me, you’re still my sexy ginger-headed highlander! This book was mind-blowing from cover to the sneak peak into the next book. I think with these books I am stuck in alpha overload because I seriously had a hard time remembering who Miller, Foster, or even Sam was! I felt super embarrassed when I messaged the author with demands that Sam needed his own book to not only be reminded by the author herself, but also my own recollection of my kindle collection, that Sam’s book was the first book that Lani Lynn Vale wrote! Talk about an awkward moment! Since I’m not a beer drinker it took me a […]

Rusty Nail by Lani Lynn Vale

Rusty Nail by Lani Lynn Vale

Rusty Nail by Lani Lynn Vale, at first, started off in a way that I was having a hard time jiving with, and then I got to around the 45-50% mark and things started to get a little better. I don’t know if it’s the series or the sameness of the authors’ writing, but the Uncertain Saints MC series, and I’ll lump the Kilgore Fire series in with this as well, just hasn’t engrossed me as Lani Lynn Vale’s previous 3 series. I really wanted to like this series as a whole, but now that I’ve finished Rusty Nail – last book in the Uncertain Saints MC series – I find myself not a huge fan. While Rusty Nail wasn’t a great read or even a completely good read, it was entertaining and had moments when I saw glimpses of why I continue to buy and read this author’s books. […]

Coup de Grace by Lani Lynn Vale

Coup de Grace by Lani Lynn Vale

I hate repeating myself but in the case of this series and author I don’t mind at all … Coup De Grace by Lani Lynn Vale was amazing! I have been waiting and also dreading Michael’s book since Double Tap, when it was made known that there was some drama that needed to be ironed out between Nikki and himself. As the story progressed I truly believe that I was in a state of shock because the story went too quickly for me and I felt like I was in a daze as I was reading it. Is it possible to be in a reading coma as you’re reading a book?! It must be because that the only way I can describe my reading state as I was reading Coup De Grace. I can’t remember exactly which book, in this series, where it was made known that Michael was bipolar, […]

Flash Point by Lani Lynn Vale

Flash Point by Lani Lynn Vale

Ooo wee! Me and Flash Point by Lani Lynn Vale have been through some things and they all happened before I opened it’s pages! I have to laugh to myself because never have I ever been scared to read a Lani Lynn Vale story, never. I wasn’t afraid there would be cheating involved, because I know that Lani Lynn Vale would never have one of her heroines or heroes commit adultery (if they’re married) or to cheat. My fear was the amount of expected heartache I would have to endure while I was reading Flash Point. Other than the heartaches I received from the beginning portion of Flash Point, throughout the rest of the story the heart pains were dialed down to low. Once everything between Booth and Masen was laid out in the open, the issues they had that prevented them from being together past that point rested on […]
