I really don’t know what I think about Sixth Grave on the Edge by Darynda Jones. I know it’s the same series I began listening to with First Grave on the Right, but there has been a fundamental shift from then to now, and I think I both like and don’t like it. Sixth Grave on the Edge wasn’t as full of drama as its predecessors, but there was definitely some mysteries solved and some relationships solidified. But, the one thing I would’ve preferred was for this ‘filler’ story not have been so long. There was so much talking amongst the main characters that I completely forgot about the mystery they were supposed to be solving. Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones was another story that I can’t seem to rate, or should I say that I’m not 100% confident in my rating for it. The story of Second Grave on the Left was highly entertaining and something I’m glad I experienced but the characters of Charley, Reyes, her dad, uncle, Garrett, and just pretty much everyone except the ghosts got on my nerves. With the way things ended in First Grave on the Right I tried not to assume too much for Second Grave on the Left because of how different Darynda Jones writing is. The way things started in this second installment I knew that I was going to love its story and I had hoped that I would be able to cement my thoughts on Charley’s character.
