Power by Kenya Wright

Power by Kenya Wright

I had to check Goodreads to make sure that Power by Kenya Wright is the first ever I’d read of her writing, but no it wasn’t. I’ve read quite a few stories by her and I have to say, my reviews weren’t as favorable it was for Power. So many things went on within this story that I’m going to try my best to notate them all here in this review. The main characters, Mary Jane and Noah, were somewhat enjoyable to read about. I will admit that after a while I sort of got bored with reading about them and became more fascinated with what was going on around them. Additionally, the supporting characters within Power started to overshadow the main couple simply because of their unhinged actions and thought processes. In thinking further about Power I’m having a hard pinpointing a point that I want to start in […]

Book Review | Catching Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Book Review | Catching Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Because it had been a minute since I’d read an Aurora Rose Reynolds story, when I saw that she had released a new story and series I thought it was a good time to see what stories she was telling now-a-days. What I wasn’t expecting was for Catching Him By Aurora Rose Reynolds to follow the same pacing and story momentum that I had somewhat gotten used to from her previous stories. I didn’t read the synopsis for Catching Him because I wanted to take the story at face value and I didn’t want to formulate any ideas or assumptions about the story before I give it a chance. In doing so I was able to have a clean slate so to speak when I first began reading the book, but I will admit that the chapter titles somewhat threw me off until I continued reading and was able to […]

Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh

Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh

I have been waiting for Clay’s story ever since we met him in Slave to Sensation. Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh was an amazing look into Clay’s past and the intricate details that made him one of the most dangerous Changelings in Nalini Singh’s dynamic and unique Psy-Changeling world. Gaining a well-rounded view of the stories I’d already read within the Psy-Changeling series is a beautiful thing. My ratings might change for what appears is the worse but I see it as something that shows growth. In rating Mine to Possess now as a 4 star instead the 5 star that it was, I feel that I’ve given the story a better look and experienced all that the story had to offer instead of focusing purely on the romance as I felt I did the first time around. I felt that even though Clay and Talin’s story progressed the Psy-Changeling series […]

FCF 10 // The Queen’s Bargain by Anne Bishop

FCF 10 // The Queen’s Bargain by Anne Bishop

So … I totally cheated with this week’s Favorite Cover Friday. Instead of taking this cover at face value before I began writing this post I instead read the synopsis and now I am slightly bummed and anxious for the release of The Queen’s Bargain by Anne Bishop. Since it feels like forever since I was in the world of The Black Jewel series I think it’ll be best if I re-read this series in order without skipping anything! I might need to take notes as well just so I can remember everything. But let’s talk about this cover for a second… The Queen’s Bargain by Anne Bishop Cover Breakdown I can’t remember the physical features of none of the female character within this timeless series but I’m hoping that the female on the cover represents either Surreal or The Queen. (I had to take a moment after writing that […]

Our Skillshare class, Sticker Sheet Creation with Cricut Design Space, was recently released at the start of August 2019. We organized this class to shed some light and explanation on the three things we thought were the most important to our fellow crafters. It’s no secret that in the small craft circles we frequent that Cricut Design Space has been dubbed the hardest software to create and design sticker sheets ever. While after scouring through YouTube looking for in-depth tutorials about how to accomplish this almost insurmountable task we thought making a class that touched on every point a crafter would encounter was the best route to go. We will learn how to effectively navigate through the Cricut Design Space interface, as well as installing the necessary software. We will learn the preliminary steps needed in order to create a professional and attractive sticker sheets, and We will learn how […]
