Counter to My Intelligence by Lani Lynn Vale

With some hesitation in my heart I opened the pages to Counter to My Intelligence by Lani Lynn Vale and had to tap into my faith in this author’s ability to spin a story and leave me satisfied, and I was not let down….AT ALL. After all that has been seen about Silas from the Freebird series to The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC series to the Code 11-KPD SWAT series you would think that his mysterious allure would be dead, but the one thing I love about Lani Lynn Vale’s stories is how vast her imagination is. If you, like me, placed limitations on the merit of Silas’ story imparting anything new, give yourself a slap on the wrist in shame! When I saw the cover reveal and saw that Alfie Gordillo was on the cover as Silas, I knew right away how special this book was going […]

I hate that I have to say what I need to say in this review, but the things said in this post will be my honest opinion about Right to My Wrong by Lani Lynn Vale. Ever since their encounter in Counter to My Intelligence I have been really looking forward to learning more about Sterling and Ruthie, as well as how these two individuals would become one. I seriously thought that after the enormous power punch that was Silas’ book that Sterling’s would’ve capitalized on its magnificence and that it would’ve turned out to be a great sequel, and while I loved the progression this story gave the series it sadly it fell short of my expectations. I loved the mystery that was Ruthie’s character, and I loved the mystery that was Sterling’s character, but what I didn’t like was all the mysteries that cocooned these two that practically […]

The review for Halligan to My Axe by Lani Lynn Vale is going to get right to the point… I loved the chemistry and everything except for the secrets that Kettle kept from Addy. I understood why he kept them, but when it went past a certain time period I became frustrated. If he didn’t keep them bottled up inside, a lot of problems could’ve been avoided. This seriously slowed the story down for me. The drama with Addy’s brother and the drugs, I felt, was drawn out as well. It was unnecessary to have as part of the drama already in place. I found myself no longer caring how the situation would play out. I was happy for the HEA but Halligan to My Axe by Lani Lynn Vale couldn’t end fast enough in my opinion. The comedy, characters from the previous book, Addy’s personality, and her twin sister […]

Lights to My Siren by Lani Lynn Vale

I had read some of the reviews for Lights to My Siren by Lani Lynn Vale before I read it. While I understood where a lot of the reviewers with 3 stars and less were coming from I still felt like we were reading two different books because this book was so good! From beginning to end I was hooked. I loved the fact that Sebastian was a triple sexy (a Marine, firefighter, and VP of an MC) alpha-male that was a great father to the sweetest little boy. He was in all ways perfect to me. Not that Sebastian was looking, but he found his greatest partner in Baylee. While Baylee thought that her ADHD was a disease and something burdensome, I saw it as something that made her extra unique. Her struggle with ADHD really educated me on the true meaning of the disorder. Yes, I could’ve googled […]
