Shade is everything Lily doesn't want in a man. He's rude, obnoxious and he's definitely not a cowboy. The tattooed enforcer for The Last Riders is a mystery Lily doesn't want to solve. He's too much for her to handle, especially with the nightmares from her past constantly threatening her sanity.

Lily is everything Shade wants in a woman. She's sweet, kind and submissive. When she discovers the truth about The Last Riders, it threatens to tear apart every relationship within the club. Her rebellion causes the predatory instincts to rise in the ex Navy SEAL sniper.

When The Last Riders are threatened by another motorcycle club just as determined to claim Lily, Shade is her only hope of surviving the approaching confrontation. Could their passion be Shade's downfall?

There are a few books that I can 100% claim changed my life, and Shade’s Fall by Jamie Begley has definitely done that. When I was first going through Begley’s Last Rider’s series I knew that Shade’s Fall was going to be special but I didn’t expect to find pieces of myself within the story.

The flow of Shade’s Fall and the depth of the characters Shade and Lily, made it so easy for me to fall into the rabbit hole that was their romance and life. The way Begley penned Shade’s Fall was so intrusive to these two characters that I felt that she was delving into my life as well, so there were a lot of self reflective moments as I was reading, for the first, second, and this third time. Also, while the first three stories in this series gave hints that this series is and will continue to set itself apart from other MC romance stories, Shade’s Fall really manufactured the stamp that sets this series apart from every other.

From Razer’s Ride to Knox’s Stand we were given glimpses of Shade’s obsession with Lily, as well as Lily’s fragility but determination to be able to stand on her own two feet. With these few glimpses the intensity to have their story and to yet give them time to work out every single kink that they may encounter while getting to their happy ever after was ramped up. Begley provided this need in Shade’s Fall and then some.

Shade is a very hard man to love, know, and tolerate but with his being embodying what it means to be a Dominant you can’t help but to take him as he is and to either love him or hate him. For me it was extremely easy to love him, flaws and all, because of the lengths he went to on behalf of his brothers in The Last Riders, his sister, and Lily. By employing the tactics that makes him a necessary tool for the US government Shade starts to wear Lily down but even with all his research and experience he wasn’t prepared for what her background would uncover, nor the trouble that followed her from her past.

Lily is a mystery wrapped in a barbed wired fenced in mystery. Even with 3 books proceeding Shade’s Fall, and a good portion of her background told in Razer’s Ride, none of that will prepare you for the hell she endured before she was dropped off in Treepoint, Kentucky as a child. You almost don’t want to like her character though, because her naivete is sort of off putting until you reach that point of realizing that she’s a walking, talking bleeding heart and her monstrous past made her that way.

Since Shade’s Fall by Jamie Begley is the fourth story in Begley’s Last Rider’s series, and it also acts as the climax, I feel that by going into any more detail will give something away. I advise that if this story seems interesting to you to dive into it from the very beginning but to also go in with an open mind because this series is wholly unique to the rest of the MC romance genre that has become popular and sort of repetitive.

About Jamie Begley

Favorite Quote: “Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.” -Walt Disney

“I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.

Taking after my mother, I’ve always loved to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.”

“For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children, my daughter is also an author, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.
All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”
